Home Made Bio gas Plant.

Portable Home Made Portable Bio gas Plant.

To make a bio gas plant we require two plastic containers of different sizes. The diameter difference between the two tanks should be between one to two inches. Here I took two plastic tanks one is a 240ltr tank and the other is 220ltr. The diameter difference is about 1.5 inch. These types of plastic tank are available in the local market. In this the smaller tank acts as the gas chamber and the bigger one acts as the slurry tank. There should be an inlet port on the slurry tank for filling the slurry to the tank daily. Inlet port should be made 6” above from the bottom of the tank. Inlet should have a diameter of 4”. And it should stand straight at least 4” above the surface of the slurry tank.

The outlet port is a 2” pipe fitted 2” below the top surface of the slurry tank. The out let pipe should have a minimal length 6”. Inlet and the out let pipe are to be in opposite directions The smaller tank is to be kept inside the bigger tank. This tank acts as the gas collection chamber. The gas produced inside the slurry tank is stored in this tank. There is an outlet port on this gas tank which is 1.5”in diameter. This 1.5” pipe has to be reduced to .5” using a PVC reducer and a valve have to be fitted at the end of this reducer. You have to use a pipe to hose connector to connect a hose from the gas chamber to the bio gas stove (LPG stove and Bio gas stove are different.).
